About the Program
Under the caring attention of our Early Childhood Education (ECE) accredited teacher, our program encourages physical, social, emotional and language development. Licensed by the Ontario Ministry of Education, the preschool operates in accordance with the Child Care and Early Years Act. As part of the City of Hamilton’s Early Years System our families have access to a wealth of local expertise, including resources for special needs children. Our Supervisor/Lead ECE brings over 20 years’ experience. To stay current with educational trends and the evolving needs of modern children and families, our lead ECE participates in ongoing professional development activities and workshops.

Our half-day program focuses on physical, social, emotional, and language development. Through a balanced mix of play time, which emphasizes social interaction, exploration and imagination, and more formal group time, we focus on all levels of a child’s development. This unique approach is a great alternative to all-day junior kindergarten for those children not yet ready for a full day of structured learning. As we are located within Yorkview Elementary school we follow the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board schedule, which includes closing for P.A. Days, the Holiday season, and March break. Space is limited, so contact us today for details or take a look at our Registration Package to learn more about our program. Options for starting during the school year vary depending on available space.
